We've debuted a new line of Shimmery 15mm Beads, and thought it was the perfect time to re-visit wristlet inspiration! This new line of silicone comes in 38 colors, and they are absolutely gorgeous.
There are different preferences when it comes to making wristlets in terms of bead size and cord type. Our preference is 12mm or 15mm Silicone Beads and 1mm Waxed Polyester Cord. Since the Silicone Beads have some "squish" and give to them, the elastic isn't necessary to slide the wristlet on and off (especially since wristlets aren't meant to be worn tight like a bracelet). Plus, once you get into adding keys to the keychain, the weight can really stretch out elastic. You'll find Waxed Polyester Cord in our Supply Lists for this reason! We've also found that the smaller Acrylic Accents when added to a pendant bail make a fabulous wristlet attachment.
We recommend Loctite Ultra Gel Control Super Glue for bonding Pendant Bails to Acrylic Accents. Please note that all Acrylic Accents have a removable protective film on the back. Before adhering your Acrylic Accent, be sure to remove this film.
